PIPELINE MARKING COLOUR GUIDE
The British Standard
BS. 1710 : 1984 'Identification of pipelines' recommends a system for the identification of pipelines & contents including when & where marking should be carried out.
Basic Identification Colours
Pipe contents are divided into 8 different categories allocating a specific colour for each.

British Standards allocate 3 colours for further identification as follows:-
